Week 6

Week 6

It was really neat to see so many students engaged last week - Made the week busier than I was expecting which was nice!

Those of you who have requested devices or learning packs - keep an eye on your emails Monday for more information. These will be distributed via a drive-through in the school car park on Tuesday this week.

Please spend a moment looking through this newsletter - if your child is going to be attending school under Level 3 you must complete the form.

I have shared a slide in Google Classroom with the reading, writing, maths for each day.

I will stress again - this content is for you to use as you see best - I do not want to be adding stress to parents' plates. My hope is that most of this content is independent and where it isn't I can meet with students to support them, we have used all of these websites, tasks, slides etc. in class so hopefully not too overwhelming. It may seem a lot of content - but from what I saw last week many of the kids are up for it!

Here is a link for parents to see the Week 6 Work - students have these shared to their Google Classroom account and will work directly on the slides - or can work with pen and paper from the slides if preferred.

We will be discussing the tasks on the slideshow at 11am each day in Google Meet (room nickname/code: rumatwelve) so if there are any questions we will talk about them then. If you cannot make it to the 11am session I am happy to meet at another time.

A suggested timetable for your day (depending on what works with parent schedules) - get through as much of the reading, writing, maths 9 - 11am (I'll be online to help if needed)  then class meet at 11 and rest of the day for a bit more free choice, art, exercise, research, games etc.

WIN! Staying Local and Staying Active, here is a challenge that would be great to see some creative Rm 12 entries. Check out the TPS Facebook page for some of the entries so far. Well done Hollie - drone tiggy looks epic!

We are organising some more learning packs for students to work on in homes - if you have a printer and you would like to use this instead of online content - here is the link (similar to the content we'll be working on online just less)

Art - Father's Day is coming up and here is an art activity from the Tauranga Art Gallery for those of you who wish to get creative

Here is a link to the Kahoot we did last week for those who couldn't make it - Game Pin is 060305. We will aim to do another one Friday.

Any questions get in touch.

Have a great week,

Sophie
