Sapphire Springs Camp

Weeeeee! Down the slide with a big laugh, I was screaming loudly.

MANU! BA BOOOOF!

Off the wooden platform into the deep freezing cold water. After our two long swims, bull rush time. Almost half the kids at camp played bullrush, all the kids tackled down Mr Kerr. Then the fast adults came in and got all the kids out. I’m so tired of these adults chasing me.

When we went back to get our pizza, I looked at all the pizza boxes… my mind was blown. There were 35 boxes of pizza waiting to be eaten, I was so hungry that I didn’t want to share.

“Cohen! Why did you give me away??” “I thought you were a pile of sticks!” Cohen said.

We walked to the gazebo arguing, I was hiding in the middle of the field, I know that sounds stupid but I had no time left until the seekers would come and find me.

In my tent I had William, Te Rangi, and Mangu. We woke up at four in the morning, then we were up for about half an hour before we finally got to sleep again.

When we went on the Kauri walk some people were slow and some people were fast. There was a 600 year old kauri tree, so just imagine how big it was. We had to wash our feet so we don’t spread the kauri dieback disease.

On the 25th of March Rooms 12 and 13 went on a camp trip to Sapphire Springs for one whole night. The first day we went in the pool. When room 7 and 11 left we went to the campsite and set up our tents. At 6.30 we went back to the pools for a swim. After that we went back to our tents and played spotlight, when it was the second round Bianca was camouflaged to a tree, she did not get found. Then we went into the tent and got ready for bed, we talked a little and then we all fell asleep.
